How do I get to the Hayes Christian Conference centre?

The Hayes is about 3 miles from the local train station


Our local station is Alfreton Station on the Sheffield-Nottingham (every half an hour*) and Liverpool to Norwich lines (every hour*). Please be advised that there is no lift available at Alfreton Station

Taxi Transfers

We recommend that you pre-book taxis if arriving at Alfreton and Derby Stations. Our recommended reliable taxi company is Amber Taxis. As a guide, Amber Taxis charge £28.00 from Derby Station and £9.00 from Alfreton Station (please quote 'The Hayes' to ensure these rates).

How do I get into my room?

You will be given a key card at check in. If you lose your key or the card isn’t working, please contact the emergency number: 07940147367.

If I’m driving up, what’s the parking situation?

There is parking onsite!

What if I need to check in late?

If you arriving after 7pm, please head straight to the main meeting in Derbyshire Hall and then we can check you in after. Latest arrival is 10pm.

I hear there’s merch? How can I get my hands on it?

There will be a merch table near the check-in desk on Saturday. Card only!

Is there a curfew?

No, as there will be midnight worship. However, be mindful of your neighbours.

What time does the coach leave on Sunday?

We aim to return to Enfield Cineworld around 7:30pm on Sunday evening (dependent on traffic!). This would mean leaving around 4:30pm.

What can I expect at check-in on Friday?

  1. Head to main reception to be greeted by our wonderful welcome team.

  2. They will check you in and give you a room key.

  3. Head to your room to unpack and settle in.

  4. Dinner at 6pm! Doors for session 1 is at 7pm.

Am I allowed offsite?

Yes, of course, but there are lots of things packed into the KC programme, so it’s unlikely you will need to.

If I haven’t booked on to a workshop! Can I still attend?

Yes you can. The programme will have the room allocations for the workshop.

Can I change the workshop I signed up for?

Yes you can. 

If I want to change my room allocation, am I allowed?

We have tried our best to accomodate each rooming request, so unfortunately no swaps!

Also due to health and safety and safeguarding policies, you are not allowed to move rooms. 

I don't know anyone there! Can I meet up with a buddy?

Are towels provided?

No- although it is fully catered, please bring toiletries and towels.

Can we check-out on Monday?We have to be offsite on Sunday by 4pm. Lunch ends at 2pm so your best bet is to pack before the final session on Sunday. Remember the coach leaves at 4:30pm
